Intellectual property is a growing area of law and is becoming increasingly important as we become more innovative and explore ways to communicate our ideas. This area of law aims to protect the creations of the mind, such as inventions, literary and artistic works, designs, symbols, business names and images.
Intellectual Property law is not limited to trademarks and copyright. It encompasses Statute and Common Law and includes the areas of patents, the tort of passing off, confidentiality agreements, registered designs, and plant breeder’s rights. In addition, Intellectual Property Law also includes laws and regulations relating to employment, licensing and the registration of domain names.
If you are unsure of your rights in regards to any of the areas mentioned above please feel free to contact Alex Beagley.
