| Tom
Sherley is a Partner of Hansons. In 1994 Tom became
one of the first Accredited Specialists in Personal
Injury Law in New South Wales. To retain his accreditation
he has to satisfy the Accreditation Board by completing
annual mandatory education in Personal Injury. In
addition to practising extensively in all fields
of Personal Injury Law, Tom has extensive ongoing
experience in Commercial Litigation and Industrial
Law, particularly Unfair Dismissal cases.
Because of his extensive knowledge and expertise
in his chosen fields of law, Tom can offer practical
advice before litigation is commenced, and an informed
assessment of both the prospects of success and
likely range of damages.
This means that clients have a very good idea
where they stand at the earliest possible time
and can make confident decisions about what they
want to do.
Tom was admitted as a Solicitor and Barrister
by the Supreme Court of New South Wales in July,
1976. He was an associate to Harold Hanson until
1982 when he became a partner, forming the firm
of Hanson Sherley & Hamilton. Tom is a foundation
partner in Hansons and a member of the Australian
Plaintiff Lawyers Association.
